Biography

Kimberly S. LeCompte is Co-Chair of the Miami Real Estate Practice. She represents clients both in Florida and nationwide in broad aspects of commercial real estate. She represents major clients in the acquisition, development, disposition, financing, and leasing of properties covering the spectrum of asset classes, from luxury condominium and apartment buildings to mixed-use projects and marinas. Kim’s expertise spans portfolio transactions encompassing assets across diverse jurisdictions nationwide. Key clients include: Albertsons, Bayview Financial, L.P., GL Homes of Florida, Greystar, Kimco, Kolter, Mast Capital, Resibuilt Homes, Rockpoint Group, The Related Group, and ZOM Living.

Experience: Representative Matters: Representation of BH-Kolter Group Partnership in financing associated with $102.6 Million Florida development site acquisition.; Representation of Greystar in securing more than $100 million in construction loans for two apartment projects in Naples, Florida. Kim also helped Greystar, one of the country's largest residential investors, acquire three development sites in Florida for a total of $100 million.; Representation of Kolter Group in $182 million construction loan for Art House, a 42-story luxury condominium tower in downtown St. Petersburg.; Representation of Kushner Companies in securing a $91 million debt package to refinance Wynwood 27 & 28, a planned mixed-use residential project in Miami.; Representation of Mast Capital in a $600 million financing package for Cipriani Residence condo tower in Miami's Brickell district -- the largest condo construction loan in Miami history. The 80-story luxury development at 1420 S Miami Avenue will feature 397 units, with prices ranging from $1.7 million to $17 million. Financing includes $350 million from Banco Inbursa and $250 million from Ascendant Capital Partners. Construction began in early February 2024, aiming for completion in 2028, with over 50% of units pre-sold. The previous record loan was $558 million for the Estates at Acqualina.; Representation of Mast Capital in selling Seascape Pointe, a 32-acre residential rental community in Homestead, Florida, for $75 million.; Representation of Related in a project which included a total of $141.5 million in loans was secured for a project at 2700 NW 2nd Avenue, Miami, Florida. This includes $90 million in senior financing and $51.5 million in mezzanine financing. The project entails the entitlement, development, and construction of 329 furnished residential condominium units, 3 retail condominium units, and 206 parking spaces.; Representation of Related in closing $328,000,000 construction loan for Baccarat Residences in Miami, FL. Baccarat Residences is a 75 story luxury high-rise tower with 360 units branded by the French luxury house, Baccarat, which is intended to include 75,000 square feet of amenities on five floors, including a La Mer spa.; Representation of ResiBuilt as local counsel in securing $238 million in construction financing for three build-to-rent developments in the Orlando and Tampa Bay areas. Kim also represented ResiBuilt in its $17 million acquisition of a development site near Tampa.
