Kirk C. Stange is the President and Founding Partner of Stange Law Firm, PC, a multi-state domestic relations law firm he founded in 2007. Under his leadership, the firm has grown from a single-office practice into a recognized multi-state law firm with offices throughout the Midwest and beyond. The firm’s mission is reflected in its tagline, “Here to Help You Rebuild Your Life™.”
Before founding Stange Law Firm, Kirk practiced domestic relations litigation at three separate law firms. During this time, he regularly represented clients in contested hearings, trials, and complex legal matters. For much of his legal career, Kirk spent significant time in the courtroom advocating for clients facing difficult and often highly personal disputes.
As Stange Law Firm has continued to grow, Kirk’s role has evolved. While his early years with the firm were focused heavily on litigation and client representation, he now concentrates primarily on overseeing the firm’s business operations, strategic growth, marketing initiatives, and organizational leadership.
Kirk has also devoted significant time to legal education and professional development. He has presented continuing legal education seminars for organizations including The Missouri Bar, the National Business Institute, and other legal education providers. In 2014, he presented at the Eighth Circuit Judicial Conference on the use of social media evidence for attorneys and judges.
In 2017, The Missouri Bar recognized Kirk for his substantial contributions to continuing legal education for Missouri attorneys. He has also served for several years as a mentor to attorneys through The Missouri Bar Mentoring Program.
Kirk graduated from Eureka High School before attending Fontbonne University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He later earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri School of Law. While in law school, Kirk was selected for membership in the Order of the Barristers in recognition of his courtroom advocacy skills. He also scored in the top ten percent of all examinees on the July 2000 Missouri Bar Examination.
Kirk later completed the ABA Family Law Trial Advocacy Institute. He is licensed to practice law in Missouri, Illinois, and Kansas, as well as before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.

Kirk is also a published author and contributor on domestic relations topics. His work has appeared through Thomson Reuters/Aspatore Publishing and in Entrepreneur Magazine. In 2014, he authored Prenuptial Agreements Line by Line, published by Thomson Reuters (Aspatore Publishing). He has also authored two additional chapters in legal books published by Thomson Reuters/Aspatore Publishing.
In addition, Kirk has co-authored chapters in The Missouri Bar’s deskbook, a legal resource used by attorneys throughout the state.
As the demands of leading a growing multi-state law firm have increased, Kirk rarely accepts new legal matters. In the limited circumstances in which he becomes involved in a case, his representation is generally reserved for highly unique matters in and around the St. Louis metropolitan area. Attorneys at Stange Law Firm, PC continue to represent clients throughout the firm’s expanding multi-state footprint.
Outside of the office, Kirk enjoys spending time with his children and fiancée. He attends Journey West County and enjoys boating, attending sporting events, visiting Galveston, Texas, gardening, and listening to Americana music. Kirk is also a musician and enjoys playing several instruments, including bass guitar, violin, guitar, and drums.
Kirk is also a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Illinois Bar Association, the Kansas Bar Association, and the President of the Missouri Collaborative Institute.
