Krista M. Reale is a partner in the Wilmington, Delaware office. She is an experienced litigator who focuses her practice on general and professional liability litigation. Krista has experience representing clients at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as appearing before administrative boards. Krista defends Fortune 500 companies in litigation in state and federal courts and disputes on behalf of boards of directors. She has a record of obtaining favorable results for clients by working with them closely to understand their objectives, allowing her to provide counsel that considers the effects of the clients’ defense strategy on the pending litigation, potential future litigation, and public opinion while addressing other client-specific concerns.
Krista has represented manufacturers, landowners, contractors, and suppliers in mass tort and asbestos matters in Delaware and Philadelphia. Krista is one of only several attorneys in Delaware history to have successfully briefed and argued an asbestos-related appeal to a full en banc panel of the Supreme Court of Delaware. Riedel v. ICI Americas Inc., 968 A.2d 17 (Del. 2009); In re Asbestos Litigation (Riedel), 2007 WL 4571196 *1 (Del. Super. Ct. December 21, 2007).
Krista represents professionals, including attorneys, insurance agents, realtors, and veterinarians, in various professional liability matters. Krista served on the trial team that defended a hospital in multiple medical malpractice cases.
Krista practices before the Delaware Chancery Court, where she defends officers and directors in actions for breach of fiduciary duty. In addition, Krista has represented clients, including homeowners associations, in breach of contract actions. She has also obtained and defended against expeditated requests for injunctive relief.
Krista also represents employers in labor and employment law matters representing both public and private employers in all aspects of employment law, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful discharge, retaliation, hostile work environment, and breach of contract claims.
As part of her general liability practice, Krista represents manufacturers and suppliers in product liability actions, and landowners and contractors in construction accident and other liability actions. Krista was a member of the trial team defending a medical device manufacturer in the first pelvic mesh case to go to trial in Delaware. Krista also represents insurance companies in insurance coverage disputes.
Krista is licensed to practice law in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New York.

•Krista serves on the Board of Directors of Sojourner’s Place. She also serves on the Development Committee of Delaware Hospice. Krista has represented victims of domestic violence in Family Court matters as a volunteer attorney for Delaware Volunteer Legal Service. Krista has also volunteered for the Delaware Humane Association as an Ambassador.
