Biography

Kristen Griffin is an Associate at Martin Clearwater & Bell LLP, where she defends doctors, teaching hospitals, health care systems and other medical professionals in medical malpractice matters. Kristen has five years of experience in the legal field and will be working in our White Plains office.

Prior to joining MCB, Kristen was an assistant district attorney in the Trial Division, Trial Bureau 50 at The Bronx County District Attorney’s office, where she prosecuted and handled hundreds of criminal cases, both misdemeanors and felonies, from intake to disposition. Intake functions included interviewing civilian and police officer witnesses, determining penal law charges, and drafting criminal complaints. She conducted arraignments of defendants on misdemeanor and felony charges in criminal and supreme court, and staffed both misdemeanor and felony court parts, handling extensive court calendars. Kristen also prepped and presented cases to the grand jury. Kristen received her B.A., cum laude, from Iona College with a Major in Political Science and a Minor in Pre-Law & Criminal Justice in 2014. She earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2017. She is admitted to practice in New York.
