Kristin L. Wedell is a shareholder of Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. and serves as Chair of the firm’s Employment and Labor Law Group . She is also a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee . Ms. Wedell has over 25 years of experience concentrating her practice in the areas of business and employment law, civil rights, workers’ compensation, and product liability and is an OSBA Certified Specialist in labor and employment. She has defended employers before state and federal administrative agencies and in courts throughout the United States in claims involving breach of contract, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful discharge, and leave of absence laws.
With first chair trial success, Ms. Wedell has defended employers, manufacturers, wholesalers, distributors, suppliers, installers, transportation companies, importers, and service providers in employment, product liability, premises liability, and toxic tort cases. Her experience includes claims involving consumer products, industrial machinery, coatings, fire investigation, commercial and industrial equipment, and toxic chemicals.
Ms. Wedell has acted as national counsel for large corporations and has represented international clients headquartered in Europe and Asia. She also concentrates her practice on business litigation and employment claims. Additionally, Ms. Wedell served as adjunct faculty at Case Western Reserve University School of Law from 2001 to 2009.
