Laura D. Dolin was born in Chicago, Illinois and has been practicing Plaintiffs' Personal Injury Law for the past 30+ years.
Most recently she was at the prestigious law firm of Diana Santa Maria, P.A. for 14 years. In addition, she had the privilege of working for
Leonard M. Ring in Chicago, Illinois who was previously named the Association of Trial Lawyers of America in Washington D.C.
The Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s (ITLA) awards top attorneys the prestigious Leonard M. Ring Lifetime Achievement Award. This award celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Recipients of this award have dedicated their life and practice to ITLA while upholding the same values and work ethic as Leonard Ring. In an aim to keep the memory of Leonard Ring alive, the award will be replaced this year with a print of his portrait which Laura D. Dolin commissioned and currently displays the original at DolinLaw, P.A.
Laura is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana, Illinois ( B.A. with honors, 1981) and South Texas College of Law, Houston, Texas (J.D. 1986), where she was a member of the Honorary Sociery of the Order of the Lytae and Assistant Casenote Editor for the Law Journal. Laura published an article in Washington D.C for AARP while in law school, Laura worked in Chicago, Illinois for the renowned trial attorney Leonard M. Ring, deceased, after whom the Association of Trial Lawyers of America has named their organization ( Leonard M. Ring Law Center).
Laura is admitted to both the Illinois Bar (1987) and the Florida Bar (since 1990). Since 1987, she has devoted her practice to the representation of the persons injured as a result of the negligence of others. Since 1990, she has concentrated in civil cases involving personal injury and wrongful death in Florida. Laura was a mentor for Nova Southeastern University Law Center law students in the Personal Injury Clinic. She has co-authored "Guideline for Handling Cases Involving Sexual Abuse of a Minor by a Public School Teacher" with Diana Santa Maria for a conference at the George Washington University Law School in Washington, D.C in May, 2006, which was published in the July, 2006 Academy of Florida Trail Lawyer's Magazine and the summer 2009 Nova Law Review.
Laura is the current president of the South Broward Bar Association. In addition, she was on the Board of Directors of Monarch Care in Fort Lauderdale, FL, from 2008-2015 where she was awarded the "Transforming Lives Award" on April 3rd 2014. Monarch Care assists vulnerable individuals with their daily needs.
Presently, Laura is honored to have started her own firm in June 2019 where she will implement the wonderful principles and techniques that she learned in her tremendous experience.
