Biography

Co-Chair, Commercial Litigation Practice

Ms. Ruccolo is an experienced “hands on” litigator with over 25 years of experience. She focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, including the defense of class action litigation. She represents small, medium and large companies, banks and financial institutions and professionals and counsels them in all aspects of their business, from reviewing, negotiating and drafting contracts in a wide variety of areas, addressing employment issues and compliance issues. Ms. Ruccolo knows that open and regular communication with her client is essential to meeting the client’s goals. Ms. Ruccolo tries to resolve business disputes before litigation becomes necessary.

Ms. Ruccolo’s business background gives her insight and assists her in counseling and advising her clients. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Ruccolo worked for a local advertising newspaper, where she was responsible for supervising two departments with two shifts. Ms. Ruccolo has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Rutgers in Business Administration. Her experience provides her with a business perspective that not all lawyers can offer. If litigation is necessary, she is tough and aggressive and has the courtroom experience to provide effective representation.

Prior to joining Capehart Scatchard, Laura served as Intern Clerk to The Honorable Judith H. Wizmur, United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
