Biography

Laura grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. She received her B.A. in English Language and Literature from Tennessee State University and graduated magna cum laude. Prior to law school, Laura worked for a prominent commercial real estate development and brokerage firm. She attended law school at Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law and graduated magna cum laude. While in law school, Laura served as President of LMU’s Moot Court Board and competed in the ABA’s National Appellate Advocacy Competition. She also received Cali Excellence Awards for legal writing and research and wills, trusts, and estates.

Laura joined the firm as a law clerk in 2020 and as an associate attorney in 2022 and concentrates on real estate, corporate, and transactional law. Laura is admitted to practice law in the State of Tennessee and is a member of the Tennessee and Knoxville Bar Associations.

Laura is married to Andrew Doty, a technician with Cirrus Aircraft. They live in South Knoxville with their two dogs, Chinook and Trigger.
