Laura earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology from Florida State University in 1992. Shortly after graduation, she obtained a job with the Department of Corrections as a Felony Probation Officer in Pensacola, Florida. While working as a probation officer in Pensacola, Laura began to work closely with the Courts in criminal cases. After three years as a probation officer, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream and entered law school. She earned her law degree at Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama in 2000. She moved back to Milton and began practicing law, opening her own law office in November, 2003.
