Biography

Lauren Benjamin works with high-net-worth individuals and families to develop complex trust and estate planning strategies to preserve and protect wealth. She has experience designing and implementing sophisticated wealth transfer tools including grantor retained annuity trusts, dynasty trusts, leveraged sales to defective grantor trusts, family investment vehicles, and life insurance trusts. Lauren also has significant experience utilizing decanting and trust modification techniques to restructure and consolidate trusts, migrate trusts to reduce or eliminate state income tax exposure, and save significant transfer taxes. Lauren also regularly counsels clients on matters related to business succession planning, charitable transfers, and private foundations.
