Biography

Lauren E. Baretta joined the firm in June 2025 as a medical malpractice litigation associate, representing hospitals, physicians, and health care facilities.

As a medical malpractice litigation associate, she provides strategic legal defense, conducts case evaluations, manages discovery, and advocates for clients through all stages of litigation.

Center for Family Justice – pro-bono family law firm representing domestic violence survivors, received a Public Interest Law Project grant to complete pro-bono internship summer of 2021

Lauren was published in the Quinnipiac Health Law Journal in 2024 with her note, To Be Educated: The Role and Responsibility of Schools to Protect Student Mental Health from K–JD. Her second piece, Aspirin and a Cup of Coffee: A Case Study on Midol’s Advertising Evolution Post-Sterling, has been selected for publication and is currently in press with the same journal.

Lauren brings a strong foundation in writing, research, and analysis. At Connecticut College, she served as Opinions Editor of The College Voice student newspaper and was later awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Award in Sabah, Malaysia. These experiences shaped her leadership as Editor-in-Chief of the Quinnipiac Health Law Journal and as Vice President of the Public Interest Law Project. While in law school, she interned at the Center for Family Justice, a pro-bono family law firm in Bridgeport and Keller Law, a special education law firm in Norwalk. After graduating from law school, Lauren worked at RSM as a Tax Associate in the Federal Credits & Incentives department gaining skills in client communication and attention to detail.

Lauren enjoys exploring new cultures and has traveled to several countries, including Peru, Malaysia, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Australia, and Canada. Outside of work, she has a passion for plants and animals and cares for a lemon tree, a cherry tree, and her cat, Lucy.

Lauren speaks English and Spanish (intermediate).
