Lauren Mariele Knapp

Lauren Knapp is a dedicated trial attorney with extensive experience in courtroom litigation. Her practice includes representing victims and their families in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases.

Prior to entering private practice, Ms. Knapp served as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado’s 18th Judicial District, where she represented victims in a wide range of traffic offenses, misdemeanors, and felony cases. During her tenure in the Special Victims Unit, Ms. Knapp focused on prosecuting crimes against children and at-risk adults, including cases involving sexual abuse, child abuse, and homicide. Her work in these highly sensitive areas reflects her commitment to justice, advocacy for vulnerable populations, and skill in handling complex cases.

In private practice, Ms. Knapp has built a robust civil litigation portfolio, representing clients in high-stakes disputes. Her experience includes cases involving funeral home negligence, human trafficking, personal injury, and insurance bad faith claims. In recognition of her excellence in litigation, she was named to Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in 2025 for commercial litigation.

Ms. Knapp earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she distinguished herself as a member of the National Trial Team. While on the team, she became a National Champion at the National Ethics Trial Competition in Sacramento, California, won the Daniel S. Hoffman Memorial Trial Advocacy Tournament hosted by the University of Denver, and received a Rising Star Advocate award.

Prior to law school, Ms. Knapp graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Colorado Boulder with a B.A. in History and a minor in Policial Science. She was also a Division I cheerleader for all four years, demonstrating her discipline, teamwork, and leadership both on and off the field.
