Lauren Sheft Cartwright

Ms. Cartwright has 25 plus years of experience representing clients with multi-state operations on employment and general business matters. The primary focus of her current practice is providing legal services to employers, including employment litigation, appellate work and employment counseling.

Ms. Cartwright has defended employers in litigation matters involving claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, wage and hour violations, unfair competition, invasion of privacy, and misappropriation of trade secrets. In addition, Ms. Cartwright advises companies on creating and maintaining human resource systems that establish best employment practices and make business sense. Advocating a proactive approach in drafting and enforcing employment policies, she helps clients manage and resolve human resource matters before they result in litigation. Ms. Cartwright drafts employment policies and counsels clients on a variety of employment issues, including contract negotiation, hiring, compensation, performance management and discipline, leaves, accommodations, wage and hour, pay practices, employee classification, benefits, privacy, internal investigations, and separation from employment.
