Laurie Schmidt is a seasoned criminal defense attorney based in Denver with over 11 years of legal experience. She spent more than three years as a Deputy District Attorney for Riverside County, California, before transitioning to focus on criminal defense. Ms. Schmidt earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Whittier College School of Law in 2006. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 2007 and the Colorado State Bar in 2012. Respected within the legal community by judges, prosecutors, and fellow defense attorneys, Ms. Schmidt is recognized for her aggressive and effective defense strategies.
