Laurie G. Robertson is a highly experienced divorce and family law attorney who has been practicing divorce and family law since 1996. She is well regarded by both judges and her peers. Education

Laurie’s extensive background enables her to serve a diverse range of clients effectively. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Rutgers University in New Jersey and her Juris Doctor from New York Law School in New York City. Following law school, Laurie began her legal career in Atlanta, Georgia, at a family law firm contracted with the State of Georgia. In this role, she represented child support enforcement agencies, child protective services, and private clients.

Practicing divorce and family law in Washington State

In 2001, Laurie relocated to the Seattle area, drawn by the Pacific Northwest’s natural beauty and proximity to family. She was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2002. Over the years, Laurie has held prominent positions at various firms throughout the Puget Sound, where she exclusively practiced family law for well over 20 years now.

A trained pro tem judge and mediator, Laurie possesses the expertise and resources to handle all types of Washington divorce and family law cases, no matter how complex. Her practice encompasses divorce, custody disputes, adoption, child support, paternity cases, prenuptial agreements, and more. She has represented clients in King, Pierce, Kitsap, Thurston, and Snohomish counties, successfully navigating high-conflict custody battles and intricate asset divisions.

Laurie is deeply attuned to the emotional challenges her clients face, even in straightforward cases. She is dedicated to providing compassionate support while pursuing the best outcomes for her clients.

Outside of practicing law

Outside of her legal practice, Laurie enjoys spending time with her husband and son, gardening, hiking, and baking. She and her husband actively support Hope Worldwide through fundraising and community events. Laurie also gives back to the legal community by volunteering as a mediator with the Pierce County Center for Dispute Resolution.
