Lawson S. Parker, II

Lawson Parker, Co-Chair of the Health Care & FDA Practice, focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions across a wide range of industries, with an emphasis on health care, telecommunications, information technology (IT), consumer products, business services, and leisure and hospitality. He frequently counsels clients to ensure their business goals are integrated into their corporate deals.

Lawson advises private equity funds and sponsor groups in various stages of the investment cycle, from the straightforward to the sophisticated, overseeing all aspects of the matter. With his business and market knowledge, coupled with a diverse transactional background, Lawson remains fluid in his creative deal structuring. He represents family offices, strategic buyers, and health care providers and suppliers in connection with mergers, acquisitions, buyouts, divestitures, joint ventures, restructurings, capital raises, and other transactional and regulatory matters.

Lawson also has deep experience advising clients on complex state and federal regulatory compliance issues in the rapidly changing health care industry, including transactional structuring considerations, corporate practice matters, anti-kickback and self-referral matters and other health care fraud and abuse issues. He also represents private equity clients in the telecommunications and IT sectors in their domestic and cross-border matters.
