Biography

Lea A. Player was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated from the University of Louisville, Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 1992. Lea's legal career began in a defense practice at the law firm of Brown, Todd & Heyburn in the firm's National Litigation Group, a group of litigation attorneys who served as lead counsel in high-profile complex litigation cases, such as the civil litigation filed by Johnnie Cochran over the Oklahoma City bombing, thousands of breast implant lawsuits and similar product liability cases. In 1998, she began working with Louisville personal injury attorneys. Doug Morris and Ann Oldfather, concentrating her practice on plaintiffs' personal injury cases with a focus on personal catastrophic injuries, products liability, medical malpractice, consumer class actions and multi-district litigation. In 2007, she and Doug Morris formed the firm of Morris & Player PLLC where together they have continued to represent plaintiffs in complex cases and cases involving catastrophic injuries.
