Biography

Lea Holliday is a partner with Bouhan Falligant and has a very diverse legal practice that includes the areas of education law, condemnation and eminent domain, defense of professional malpractice claims, business and construction arbitration and litigation, employment discrimination, and commercial litigation. He served as counsel to an electric utility and presented rate and regulatory matter before the Georgia Public Service Commission. Holliday has represented attorneys, architects, and engineers in professional negligence matters. He is the School Board attorney for the Board of Public Education for the City of Savannah and County of Chatham. As such, he provides advice and counsel on the many issues arising from the operation of a complex school system with more than 38,000 students and 5,000 employees. He has served as an arbitrator in commercial business disputes. He is admitted in all state and federal courts in Georgia and the Supreme Court of the United States.

Holliday graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1967 with a degree in electrical engineering. While at Georgia Tech, Holliday was a member of Tau Beta Pi, Phi Kappa Phi and Eta Kappa Nu honorary societies. In 1970, he graduated from the University of Georgia Law School, cum laude. While in law school, he was one of the founding editors of the Georgia Journal of International Comparative Law, a legal writing instructor, and a member of the Georgia Law Review. After graduation from law school, Holliday served in the United States Army prior to joining the firm in 1971.
