Biography

Leighann is a 2018 graduate of The George Washington University Law School. She was Co-President of her law school’s Labor and Employment Law Society from 2016-2018. During law school, she was also a Student Attorney at the Jacob Burns Community Legal Clinic’s Public Justice Advocacy Clinic, which focuses on employment and disability matters.

Leighann clerked for Supervisory Administrative Judge Frances del Toro at the Washington D.C. field office of the EEOC during the summer of 2017 and during her last semester of law school. Prior to joining the Clifton Budd & DeMaria, her practice consisted of representing municipal and school district employers. She has experience preparing for and attending employee discipline arbitrations, conducting confidential employee investigations, drafting third party agreements, severance agreements, employment agreements, assisting with litigation matters, and preparing for oral arguments.

After her graduation with honors from the Cornell University’s ILR School, an abridged portion of Leighann’s honors thesis was published in the American Arbitration Association’s Dispute Resolution Journal in 2014.
