Leonard Matthew Braman

Leonard Braman is an associate in the firm's litigation department. His practice involves complex civil litigation, including intellectual property litigation, contractual disputes, law firm and legal malpractice defense, and white collar defense. Mr. Braman completed clerkships with the Hon. Anita B. Brody of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the Hon. Judith A. Cowin of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts.

Commercial Litigation

Worked on successful defense of pharmaceutical company against multi-million dollar indemnification and contribution action brought in New Jersey federal district court, resulting in grant of summary judgment dismissing all claims. Worked on successful representation of company in plaintiff's appeal of the decision to the Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, which affirmed summary judgment in client's favor.

Law Firm Defense

Worked on defense of multinational law firm in legal malpractice action brought by former client seeking over $400 million in damages, resulting in favorable settlement for law firm.

Patent

Worked on representation of world-leading medical device company in several successful litigations involving patent infringement and patent licensing relating to coronary stent technology.

White Collar Defense

Ongoing representation of client in federal court in a securities fraud enforcement action brought by the SEC.

Pro Bono

Successfully defended a major legal services organization against a lawsuit brought by a landlord in response to the organization's representation of a tenants' association in a Housing Court proceeding against the landlord.
