Biography

Lindsay Obert is an experienced civil litigator who has been in private practice since 2010. Her litigation practice concentrates on real estate and contracts, for which she is committed to helping clients find creative solutions in this complex legal arena.

Lindsay has experience handling challenging matters concerning titles, lot lines, and easements, especially for mountain and historic properties. She enjoys helping clients manage their real estate assets through strategic planning, selling, purchasing, renovating, and leasing.

Lindsay has handled cases for a diverse clientele, from large government entities, such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, to individual residential landlords.

Representative matters:

Commercial eviction – Successfully evicted delinquent commercial tenant after several months of failing to pay rent

Residential non-disclosure – Resolved failure to disclose matter for new homeowners surprised with a large HOA assessment upon closing

Bad contractor – Prevailed at trial on behalf of an HOA board against a contractor’s shoddy workmanship performance

Protected leasehold rights – Successfully obtained summary judgment for tenant in non-disclosure lawsuit over commercial parking lot
