Lisa Torraco

Lisa Torraco, Attorney at Law, brings distinguished experience in both criminal law and public service. Early in her career, she was recognized as "New Prosecutor of the Year" by the New Mexico State Bar Association and served on the Board of Directors for its Prosecutor Section from 1993 to 1996. As a special prosecutor for the Second Judicial District, Ms. Torraco established a reputation for dedicated and effective advocacy. A committed champion of criminal justice reform, she played an influential role in the New Mexico State Senate from 2013 to 2016, serving as co-chair of the Criminal Justice Reform Subcommittee and advancing bipartisan initiatives for voter reform. Ms. Torraco’s career also includes leadership in the Child Abuse Division and over a decade as an adjunct professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law. Her contributions have been honored by the Governor’s Award for Outstanding Women, the National Association of Women Lawyers Award, and multiple speaking engagements. Through her “Right on Crime” work and ongoing commitment to justice, Ms. Torraco continues to make an impact both in the courtroom and the community.
