Biography

Mr. Freedman comes to Lloyd & McDaniel with over 40 years of experience in legal consumer collections, first as founding partner of Freedman Anselmo Lindberg LLC, a leading creditor’s rights law firm based in Naperville, Illinois, and then as Partner at Blitt and Gaines, P.C. He is a Past President of the Illinois Creditors’ Bar Association, having also served as Legislative Vice President, and was a founding Board Member of the Creditors Bar Coalition of Illinois, a group of select law firms that support highly successful lobbying efforts in Illinois. He is a charter member of the National Creditors Bar Association (NCBA/NARCA), serving as President from 2011-2013 after having chaired the Federal Governmental Affairs Committee, where he developed and strengthened relationships with key Members of Congress, eventually having a bill introduced in the House. He was chair of their Political Action Committee of Collection Attorneys (PACCA). Lou is a former Chair Arbitrator for the Mandatory Court Annexed Arbitration Program of DuPage County, Illinois. He is based in Chicago.
