Biography

Lucas has a practice consisting of representing clients in the areas of criminal defense, juvenile law, civil litigation, business formation, and estate planning.

Lucas joined the firm in August of 2020. Originally from Grand Island, Nebraska, Lucas received his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He earned his Juris Doctorate with High Honors from the University of South Dakota School of Law where he served as an Executive Member on the Moot Court Board and competed in Trial Team. During law school, he clerked for a firm specializing in civil litigation in Rapid City, South Dakota. Following law school, Lucas served as a Law Clerk for the South Dakota Unified Judicial System for the First Circuit in Mitchell, South Dakota where he worked closely with judges across numerous areas of law.

During his spare time, Lucas enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, grilling, and golfing.
