Lucy A River

Lucy River is currently a workers' compensation attorney at the law firm of Peter D. White in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In the past, she has represented clients in matters of personal injury, medical malpractice, civil rights, whistleblower protection, and employment discrimination from the victim’s perspective. She has also worked as a trial attorney in indigent criminal defense. Lucy graduated cum laude from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2019, where she received awards in the Child & Family Justice Clinic, Elements of Legal Argumentation III, and Civil Rights.

Lucy received her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice Studies from New Mexico Highlands University, and a Diploma in Speech and Drama Studies from DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama, Dublin, Ireland, her country of birth. Lucy is a mother, published poet, two-stripe blue belt in jiu jitsu, and indoor cycling instructor. Lucy is licensed to practice before the New Mexico State Bar and the United States District Court of New Mexico. She is a Board Member of the State Bar of New Mexico’s Solo and Small Firm Section, YouthWorks, and the First Judicial District Bar Association.
