Biography

Luis Lopez is a member of the Casualty Department where he defends insurance carriers in disputes involving Personal Injury Protection. He is also a member of the Fraud/Special Investigation Practice Group, primarily dealing with evaluating both medical provider fraud and intentional/staged losses.

Prior to joining Marshall Dennehey, Luis worked as a prosecutor for the Queens County District Attorney’s Office where he handled numerous criminal matters, including engaging in extensive trial preparation and court appearances. Additionally, he worked in the Appeals division, drafting appellate briefs and filing motions on behalf of the DA.

Luis earned his juris doctor from the City University of New York School of Law and served as a mediator for the New York courts as part of his clinical requirement. Luis earned his B.A. in Media Studies from Hunter College, where he also graduated with Honors.

He is admitted in the state of New York.
