Luke Fiedler represents individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies in criminal proceedings, governmental and internal investigations, and complex commercial litigation in state and federal court.

Luke’s experience includes securing an acquittal on all counts for a medical doctor charged in a $355 million federal health care fraud prosecution after a three-month jury trial. He also secured significant pretrial improvements for a client facing $13 million Medi-Cal fraud charges and obtained a declination of criminal charges in an SEC insider trading action.

Experience: Representative Matters: Defended a medical doctor charged in a $355 million federal health care fraud prosecution. After a three-month trial, the jury fully acquitted the client on all 33 felony counts. All other defendants were convicted on all counts.; Defended a medical doctor charged with $13 million Medi-Cali fraud. Obtained a bail reduction of over $10 million and several other significant improvements to the doctor's pretrial electronic monitoring conditions.; Represented an individual investigated by the Department of Justice for allegedly participating in an insider trading scheme. The DOJ elected not to indict the client, even though the DOJ indicted and secured convictions against several other individuals allegedly associated with the scheme.; Secured a settlement in a civil rights action on behalf of the family of a victim of a fatal police shooting.; Defended an individual charged in the nation's first-ever federal 'birth tourism' prosecution, and assisted in securing a plea agreement where the client pleaded guilty to only two counts of a 28-count indictment.
