Luke was born and raised in Jamestown, North Dakota and graduated from Jamestown High School. During high school, Luke was a member of student government and was a member of the varsity basketball team for three years, including a senior year where he was named a unanimous selection to the All-WDA basketball team and chosen to the Class A Lion’s All-Star team.
