Biography

Zane Johnson represents clients in complex securities and consumer fraud litigation. He is currently focused on assisting employees whose retirement benefits were reduced in violation of the Employee Retirement and Securities Act (ERISA).

Before focusing on his practice representing plaintiffs, Zane was an associate with a boutique law firm in Connecticut, where he worked on a broad range of complex litigation involving unfair insurance practices, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. Zane has additional experience as an associate at a law firm based in New Jersey where he litigated corporate contract, financial management, and intellectual property disputes and assisted pro bono clients in areas including landlord-tenant disputes, veterans’ issues, employment matters, privacy policies, and protecting intellectual property rights.

While completing his legal studies, Zane earned CALI Awards in Contracts, Case Studies in Compliance Systems, and Lawyering Process, and served as a summer associate for an antitrust and intellectual property law firm based in New York. Prior to beginning his legal career, Zane worked for over a decade as a software engineer, providing him with insights into cyber risks, data privacy, insurance, financial markets, and corporation culture.

Outside the office, Zane volunteers his time as a youth lacrosse coach and as a youth hockey coach.
