Biography

Maarten is a Shareholder in the firm's corporate law Practice. Maarten advises on virtually all aspects of M&A and corporate law, with a focus on transactions in the spaces of Private Equity and Venture Capital, often bearing a technology/deep tech angle. In particular, Maarten has a great depth of experience dealing with multijurisdictional projects, often bearing a transatlantic point of focus (assisting U.S. companies investing in Europe and European companies investing in the Americas).

In addition, Maarten has a wide range of experience in setting up Joint Ventures and in dealing with Distressed Assets, and advising clients on matters relating to Governance and Shareholder Disputes making use of his background as a corporate litigation lawyer.
