Mrs. Madison Moss Hill

Madison Hill is a native of Western North Carolina. Madison grew up in Hendersonville as an eighth generation resident of Henderson County. She attended Mars Hill University where she graduated cum laude in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History and Secondary Social Studies Education. While in college, she was also a member of the Bonner Scholar program. As a Bonner Scholar, she volunteered over 1,600 hours at local women shelters, the Boys and Girls Club of Hendersonville, Madison High School, after school programs, and Henderson County Historical Society. Madison was the recipient of the Randolph Research Award, which allowed her to travel and further research local Appalachian history.

After graduating from Mars Hill University, Madison began law school at the University of South Carolina in the fall of 2016. She was chosen to be secretary of the Christian Legal Society, and enjoyed this leadership position. While in law school, she interned at the Henderson County District Attorney's Office, where she was exposed to courtroom litigation. She also interned at the Richland County Public Defender's Office in Columbia SC. Madison earned a concentration in children's law by completing additional family law classes, a research project, and an externship at the juvenile public Defender's Office in Richland County. Her concentration in children's law gave Madison a more extensive knowledge of family law. Madison was the first to graduate from her law school class in December 2018. She was admitted to practice in North Carolina in April 2019.

Personal:

Madison is passionate about her local community and serving others. She is the oldest of four children. In her spare time, she enjoys learning about local history and genealogy. She is also a member of First Baptist Church in Hendersonville. Madison married her husband, Cody, in 2016. Cody is a fellow native of Western North Carolina and a registered nurse in Asheville. She and Cody enjoy traveling and other outdoor activities. Madison also loves spending time with their three horses and donkey.
