Biography

Malcolm S. Taub has over 40 years’ experience practicing law and handling high profile cases in several distinct areas of practice. Mr. Taub has handled high profile matrimonial and family law matters specializing in divorce, equitable distribution and child custody issues. Mr. Taub has lectured on the issue of pre-nuptial agreements, as well as other Family Law issues, for various CLE programs. He has concluded successful trials against the major members of the matrimonial bar.

In addition, Mr. Taub maintains a very active practice in the area of Art Law. He has been contributing editor to the Lexis-Nexis Volume relating to Art Law. He has lectured extensively in the area of major art transactions and has also taught a similar CLE program. He has structured art transactions involving tens of millions of dollars. He has successfully tried major art related cases in the Federal and State Courts. Mr. Taub was featured as a guest lecturer at the Chelsea Art Museum as part of a Winter-Spring Lecture for Collectors: “Legal Issues Relation of the Purchase and Sale of Art”.

Mr. Taub has been active in complex litigations in the State and Federal Courts.

Mr. Taub appeared as a matrimonial expert in the December 2004 issue of Cosmopolitan Magazine, has been profiled in Divorce Magazine, and has appeared twice on the Late Show with David Letterman, as well as on a CNN affiliate. Mr. Taub is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Taub has been involved with the ownership, operation and syndication of Real Estate in New York City. He has been involved in every aspect of such transactions, including financings, leasing and the structuring of such syndications. He has acted as a consultant to the New York Stock Exchange in its Market of Surveillance Department and has presented seminars and training sessions regarding methods of improving market surveillance techniques for the NYSE.

Mr. Taub is presently on the Board of Trustees and a founding shareholder of the Gateway Schools of New York, specialized schools which provide education to learning disabled children. He is presently on the Board of Directors of Brainstorm Cell Therapeutics, Inc., a corporation traded on the NASDAQ that performs stem cell research in the field of Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis and ALS Disease.
