Marc Howard Edelson

As a founding partner of Edelson Lechtzin LLP, Marc H. Edelson brings decades of experience to high-stakes litigation involving antitrust issues, defective drugs and medical devices, and property insurance disputes. A Wharton economics graduate (cum laude) and a UCLA Law alumnus, he has spent over three decades handling complex class actions and has frequently been asked to take on leadership positions in MDL proceedings. One of his most notable appointments came in In re Pharmaceutical Industry Average Wholesale Price Litigation (MDL 1456), where Judge Patti Saris selected his firm as one of four lead counsel firms after he helped initiate early end-payor cases that became part of the consolidated litigation. That work required detailed analysis of pharmaceutical pricing and led to settlements totaling $341 million. Mr. Edelson also served as co-lead counsel in cases against McKesson, First DataBank, Medi-Span, and related entities, which resulted in a $350 million settlement plus a 5% price rollback that delivered hundreds of millions more in savings. He has also held leadership roles in Ciprofloxacin, Premarin, Western States Natural Gas, and other consumer and product cases.
