Marc L. Rich graduated cum laude from Tulane University in 1986 and studied abroad at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He obtained his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1989. Marc was admitted to the Bar in the States of New York and New Jersey in 1989. He was admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York in 1990. Marc is a founding partner of Rich & Rich, P.C. and has over 30 years of experience as a trial lawyer. Marc has successfully tried personal injury and medical malpractice cases. He has successfully litigated numerous catastrophic injury cases involving traumatic brain injuries, birth related neurological injuries, and other injuries resulting in disfiguring amputation, and has obtained multi-million dollar recoveries for his clients. Marc has also successfully litigated many nursing home cases involving elderly residents who were permitted to develop bed sores leading to fatal infection and those involving falls or other accidents caused by improper care planning, inadequate monitoring and supervision or the failure to implement appropriate safety interventions.
Marc has successfully litigated many medical malpractice cases involving birth injuries, improperly performed surgical procedures, podiatric malpractice and the failure to diagnose medical conditions. Marc has also successfully litigated numerous general negligence and wrongful death cases involving motor vehicle, tractor-trailer and bus accidents, pedestrian accidents, premises accidents involving the failure of property owners or managers to maintain their premises in a reasonably safe condition, elevator accidents, lead paint poisoning, slip, trip and fall cases, construction site accidents, municipal liability and transit system liability cases.
Marc is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the Queens County Bar Association and the New York Criminal & Civil Courts Bar Association.
