Biography

Marc L. Rich graduated cum laude from Tulane University in 1986 and studied abroad at The London School of Economics and Political Science. He earned his law degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1989 and was admitted to the Bar in the States of New York and New Jersey that same year. As a founding partner of Rich & Rich, P.C., Marc possesses over 30 years of experience as a trial lawyer in both states. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Marc’s legal expertise encompasses various areas, including catastrophic injury cases involving traumatic brain injuries, birth related neurological injuries and wrongful death, and he has obtained multi-million dollar recoveries for his clients at trial and mediation. His legal expertise extends to the area of nursing home negligence, and he has successfully litigated many cases involving bed sores leading to sepsis, and those involving falls resulting in fractures or severe head injuries.

Marc has also successfully litigated many medical malpractice cases involving birth injuries, vascular and neurological injuries arising from improperly performed surgical procedures, and the failure to timely diagnose life-threatening medical conditions. Additionally, throughout his career, Marc has successfully litigated numerous personal injury cases involving motor vehicle, tractor-trailer and bus accidents, pedestrian accidents, premises accidents, slip, trip and fall accidents, construction site accidents, and municipal liability and transit system liability cases.

He has been recognized by his peers as having the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards with an 'AV' Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell since 2013. He has been selected among America's Top 100 Personal Injury Attorneys for 2024, an honor that less than one-half percent (0.5%) of active attorneys in the United States will receive, and has been selected as a New York Metro Super Lawyer for 2025.
