Biography

Marc Sackin is formerly a litigation associate in the New York office of the international law firm Baker & McKenzie LLP, one of the largest law firms in the world. There, Marc received unmatched legal training from some of the best and brightest legal minds and gained unparalleled experience while representing, counseling and advising many Fortune 500 companies with respect to a wide range of litigation and transactional matters. Marc later worked as a litigation associate at the boutique firm Reisman Peirez Reisman & Capobianco LLP, where he worked with many medium- and small-sized business, as well as individuals, on litigation, transactional and probate matters.

Marc has also worked as a student assistant prosecutor in Kings County (Brooklyn), State of New York, where he was responsible for personally handling all stages of the prosecution of criminal cases from intake in the complaint room through final disposition.

Education

Marc is a graduate from the University of Michigan and Brooklyn Law School. During law school, Marc was the Articles Editor of Brooklyn Law School’s prestigious Brooklyn Law Review and competed as a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. In addition, he was a clerk in the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office (E.D.N.Y.) and the Criminal Division of the Office of the Attorney General for the State of New York.

Community Service

Marc is very active in the community in which he provides legal services. He has served as Vice President of the Royal Oak-Beverly Hills Improvement Association and as a Board Member of the Lapeer County Habitat for Humanity. In addition, he has been appointed as an officer of the City of Royal Oak Historic District Study Committee. Marc also acted as pro bono counsel for the Jewish Community Center of Metropolitan Detroit.
