Marc T. Miller provides general counsel and transactional
representation to businesses and their stakeholders and represents both the
buyers and sellers of business interests. He also represents business clients
in the acquisition and sale of commercial real estate. Clients seek counsel
with the purchase, sale, leasing, financing, ownership, and management of a
wide array of commercial properties. Matters also include the negotiation
and drafting of vendor contracts, employment arrangements and licensing
agreements. Attorney Miller recently represented a local commercial landlord on
the purchase of several commercial buildings in lower Fairfield County and represented
a solar energy developer on the acquisition and development of multiple
properties in New York.
A firm believer in the concept that the best way to handle litigation
is to avoid it altogether, Attorney Miller recognizes that there are times when
litigation is the only option to enforce a client's contractual rights. Recent
successes include construction litigation, business torts, employment disputes,
real property litigation, foreclosure, and landlord/tenant disputes. Marc has
tried numerous cases to a successful verdict. He has briefed and argued appeals
in state and federal court in both Connecticut and New York.
Attorney Miller earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut
School of Law and his B.A. in Economics and Philosophy from Skidmore College. He
began his legal career as a judicial law clerk and before joining Neubert, Pepe
& Monteith, P.C., practiced with mid-sized firms in Norwalk, Bridgeport,
and Hartford, CT. Attorney Miller has been listed in New England Super Lawyers
Magazine as a Connecticut Rising Star for Commercial Litigation since 2018.
He is admitted to practice in Connecticut, New York, District of
Columbia, U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, Southern and
Eastern Districts of New York, U.S. Court of Appeals Second Circuit, and the
Supreme Court of the United States.
