Marc Whitehead is a Houston-based disability and insurance benefits attorney and the founder of Marc Whitehead & Associates, Attorneys at Law LLP, with offices across Texas and clients nationwide. For more than 30 years, he has represented people who can’t work because of serious medical conditions, helping them pursue the benefits they’ve earned when insurance companies or government agencies deny valid claims. Marc is board-certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and board-certified in Social Security Disability Law by the National Board of Trial Advocacy, a rare combination that reflects his depth in both litigation and disability law. His practice includes Social Security Disability (SSDI/SSI), long-term disability claims under ERISA and individual policies, veterans disability benefits, and disability claims for physicians and other professionals, with elder law and Medicaid planning as a secondary focus. Marc has conducted more than 1,000 Social Security disability hearings and tried more than 50 jury trials, successfully taking on major insurers including Unum, Hartford, Prudential, Cigna, and Aetna. He is also a published author, educator, and podcast host, known for guiding clients through a stressful process with clear, step-by-step support.
