Biography

Ms. Finlay became Of Counsel to Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP in 2017. She is a graduate of Cornell Law School, and prior to joining Coughlin & Gerhart, LLP, she practiced law in Ithaca for over 20 years with Blumkin, Finlay & Bixler, LLP and Blumkin & Finlay, LLP. Ms. Finlay practices in the areas of Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning, Elder Law, Probate and Estate Administration, Guardianship and Special Needs Planning.

Ms. Finlay is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Tompkins County Bar Association. She has previously served as a Board Member for the Community Foundation of Tompkins County and McGraw House. She is a volunteer Panel Member for the Surrogate Decision Making Committee and frequently speaks to community groups on topics related to Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Special Needs Planning.
