Marcus K. Turner

Marcus Turner has a deep sense of empathy and compassion for people going through divorce – and as a child of a highly contentious divorce, he keenly relates to what his clients are going through. With an exclusive focus on family law, including divorce, child custody, property division and other difficult issues, Marcus is intensely passionate about fighting hard for what’s right. His goal: to save each of his clients time, money and worry.

As a native Texan and someone who always knew he wanted to be a family law attorney, Marcus gained his initial legal experience as a law clerk at Neal Ashmore Family Law Group during high school. He earned his undergraduate degree from Western State University in Colorado, majoring in politics and government. During that time, he became a member of both the Western State Politics and Government Club and the Western State Mountain Rescue Team. As a member of the Rescue Team, Marcus earned a coveted spot on its rapid response and search unit, where he learned to handle emergencies with swift, logical responses. Marcus earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law – Houston, where he was a member of the school’s Advanced Family Law Clinic representing indigent and abused parents. He also gained probate experience as a member of the school’s Probate Clinic. Marcus recognizes the importance of practical, hands-on work in legal matters, and he uses his extensive experience to assist his clients before, during and after divorce.

Although you’ll usually find Marcus hard at work on a case, walking a client through a difficult situation, or putting together winning legal strategies for his clients, he’s an avid mountain climber, snowboarder and skier. If he’s not working, he’s spending time outdoors with family and friends while enjoying Texas’s natural beauty.
