Biography

Margalie F. Reyes joined Wicker Smith in 2012 and is an associate in the Orlando office, handling general civil litigation matters. Prior to joining the firm, she founded the Fenelus Law Firm, where her worked concentrated in criminal defense.

Graduating in the top 20% of her class, Ms. Reyes earned a Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in 2011. While in law school, she was an active member of the trial team, serving as President from 2010 to 2011 and competing in several regional and national mock trial competitions. In 2010, Ms. Reyes was a member of the regional championship team at the American Association for Justice Mock Trial Competition.

In addition to trial team, Ms. Reyes gained valuable legal experience as a law clerk for an Orlando-area firm dedicated to providing legal services to health care providers and professionals. She also worked as a Certified Legal Intern in the Barry University School of Law Immigration Clinic, representing non-citizens seeking immigration benefits or defending against removal proceedings before the Department of Homeland Security or the Executive Office for Immigration. During her last year in law school, she served as a Federal Judicial Intern to the Honorable John Antoon, II for the Middle District of Florida.

A native of Florida, Ms. Reyes graduated cum laude from Florida International University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management. She was a recipient of the Sarah & Solomon Rosenberg Academic Scholarship and invited to join the Delta Iota Epsilon Academic Honor Society.

Admitted to practice the Florida Bar in 2011, she is a member of the Florida Bar, Federal Bar, Orange County Bar Association, Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the Paul C. Perkins Association.
