Mieke Driscoll focuses her legal practice in the areas of business and corporate law, real estate, municipal and school law, and non-profit law.
She assists her non-profit clients through the process of forming an entity, structuring a board of directors, drafting bylaws, and obtaining tax-exempt status. She also provides counsel to these organizations to ensure they meet and maintain state requirements and complex IRS regulations as a tax-exempt organization including annual reporting along with corporate and tax filings.
In representing her municipal and school clients, her objective is clear - to help her clients achieve their missions as public servants. She represents her clients aggressively, but also remembers that her public sector clients have a public mission to perform. She routinely drafts ordinances, resolutions and contracts, and advises council members, elected and appointed officials and employees in matters such as open meeting laws, planning, zoning, and other land use issues, personnel, Right-to-Know law, and other matters.
