Margie Komes, Ms

Margie Komes has been a cornerstone of the Turner Law Group team since she first joined us as a law clerk. After passing the bar and serving as a dedicated associate, she was named partner in 2024, a testament to her skill and commitment. Margie focuses her practice on personal injury, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and workers’ compensation, handling every phase of litigation from initial discovery to the courtroom. Her peers have recognized her talent by naming her a Rising Star for seven years in a row. Beyond her case files, Margie is deeply invested in the future of the legal profession. She actively mentors law students and younger attorneys, with a particular focus on helping women advance in the field. She serves on many organizations including American Association for Justice (AAJ), Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) of which she is the current chair of the Standing Women and the Law Committee and a member of the Assembly and the Workers' Compensation Committee, Kane County Bar Association in which she serves on the Civil Practice Committee and the Judicial Evaluation Committee, and the Kendall County Bar Association in which she served as president in 2023. She also is a member of Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA), Workers' Compensation Lawyers Association, and Workers' Injury Law and Advocacy Group. She serves on the Alumni Council for Northern Illinois University College of Law.

She was sworn in before the United States Supreme Court in June, 2026. She is admitted to practice before the Northern District of Illinois and the Central District of Illinois.

She also finds time to give back through pro bono work and various community service projects.

When she isn’t fighting for her clients, Margie is likely on the volleyball court. She’s an avid player who competes in tournaments both locally and nationally. She brings that same competitive drive and focus to every legal matter she handles.
