Maria Teresa Miller

My two main areas of practice are criminal law and immigration law. As a criminal and immigration attorney, I have a firm understanding of the major consequences non-citizens face when charged with a criminal offense. My immigration practice focuses mainly on removal defense and working with clients who need to navigate both the immigration court and the criminal court. I am strong believer in an individual’s right to trial and the importance of the State’s burden to prove a defendant guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. I have represented people in misdemeanor and felony court and will ensure that my client’s constitutional rights are protected. I have also represented clients in immigration court and helped many non-citizens avoid deportation. Prior to working with Cundy and Martin, LLC I worked with the Public Defenders Office in Ramsey County where I represented clients in a variety of cases. I also worked with Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid with immigrants who were the victim of a crime or domestic assault.
