Biography

Marili' D. Gelardi joined Kelly, Rode & Kelly, LLP as an associates in April, 2016. Her focus is almost exclusively medical malpractice defense litigation. She has been practicing in that field since she began her career.

Ms. Gelardi completed her undergraduate studies in 2 ½ years at Queens College of the City University of New York, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Romance Languages. She received her Juris Doctorate from Columbus School of Law of the Catholic University of America in 1982. While in law school, Ms. Gelardi's article, "The Right of The Mentally Ill To Refuse Psychotropic Drug Treatment" was published in the American Journal of Law & Medicine.

Ms Gelardi was admitted to the New York State Bar as well as the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York in 1983, and the United States Supreme Court in 1991. She is a member of the Columbian Lawyers Association.

Ms. Gelardi also studied in Italy and France, and is fluent in Italian with a working knowledge of French and Spanish. In her spare time, she practices yoga, ballroom and Latin dancing.
