Marjorie A. (Maggie) Anne Richardson

Maggie Richardson is an Associate Attorney at Suisman Shapiro, concentrating her practice on Estate Planning, Estate Administration, Probate Litigation, and Elder Law. She combines her legal expertise and background in social work to provide compassionate and strategic advocacy for clients navigating complex estate and probate matters.

Attorney Richardson was admitted to the bar in November 2024. She received her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2024, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Quinnipiac Probate Law Journal. She earned her Master of Social Work degree from the Quinnipiac School of Social Work, enhancing her sensitivity and approach to client interactions, particularly during emotionally challenging cases.

Prior to joining Suisman Shapiro, Attorney Richardson gained experience in probate litigation as a legal intern for the Honorable retired Probate Judge John Keyes. She also interned under Judge Carchia at the New Haven Probate Court during the summer of 2023, enriching her insight into probate procedures and effective litigation strategies. Additionally, as part of her Master’s program, Attorney Richardson completed an internship at the Division of Law and Psychiatry at Yale/Connecticut Mental Health Center, where she evaluated defendants’ competency to stand trial, and collaborated closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and attorneys, further deepening her understanding of competency issues relevant to probate and elder law cases.
