ABOUT MARK REEL JR. — INLAND EMPIRE FATHERS' RIGHTS ATTORNEY
When fathers across the Inland Empire, Riverside County, and San Bernardino County face the most consequential legal battles of their lives — a child custody dispute at the Riverside Family Law Court or false domestic violence allegations — they turn to Mark Reel Jr. As the Founder and CEO of Reel Fathers Rights APC, Mark has built the most recognized fathers' rights law firm in California, leading a team of over 20 attorneys operating from nine offices spanning Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego Counties. His personal awards — Super Lawyers Rising Star for 2025 and 2026, Best Lawyers Ones to Watch 2025–26, Elite Lawyer 2022–2026, and Martindale-Hubbell Client Champion Platinum — combined with the firm's recognition as the #1 Law Firm on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list, reflect a standard of legal excellence validated by clients, peers, and independent rating organizations alike.
Mark's commitment to fathers' rights is not theoretical. In September 2017, he became a father to twins and found himself on the wrong side of a family court system he recognized as deeply biased against men. Faced with wrongful accusations and court orders that separated him from his newborn children, Mark channeled personal adversity into a professional mission. He founded Reel Fathers Rights APC in 2021 with a stated goal of helping 33,570 fathers by 2030 — a mission that is well underway.
Under Mark's leadership, Reel Fathers Rights APC was named the #1 Law Firm on the 2025 Inc. 5000 List of America's Fastest-Growing Private Companies — the only law firm to achieve that distinction in the list's history. In early 2026, the firm ranked #9 on the Inc. Regionals: Pacific list, cementing its position as one of the fastest-growing professional services firms in the Western United States. The firm has also earned an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell — the highest peer review designation in the legal profession — and has been recognized by Elite Lawyers, Expertise.com, and Lawyers of Distinction as a top Southern California family law firm.
SUPER LAWYERS RISING STAR 2025 & 2026 · BEST LAWYERS ONES TO WATCH 2025–26
Mark Reel Jr. has been recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star for both 2025 and 2026 — a peer-nominated distinction awarded through a rigorous multi-criteria evaluation process to no more than 2.5% of California attorneys. Two consecutive Rising Star designations signal the trajectory that defines exceptional practitioners. Additionally, Mark is a Best Lawyers "Ones to Watch" honoree for 2025–26 — a prestigious peer-review award identifying outstanding attorneys in the early stages of their career. Together, these two independent recognitions place Mark among the most credentialed young family law practitioners in California.
Mark was also recognized with the Elite Lawyer Award consecutively from 2022 through 2026 — five straight years of recognition by one of the legal profession's most selective peer-evaluated honors programs — and the Martindale-Hubbell Client Champion Platinum Award (2025). The firm holds an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale-Hubbell — the highest peer review designation available — and has been recognized by Elite Lawyers, Expertise.com, and Lawyers of Distinction as a top Southern California family law firm.
PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD — NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR EQUAL AND SHARED PARENTING (NCESP)
Beyond his legal practice, Mark Reel Jr. serves as President of the Board of the National Council for Equal and Shared Parenting (NCESP) — a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to educating lawmakers and policymakers on critical family-related policy issues. Under the Board's leadership, NCESP engages directly with legislators on Title IV-D funding reform, Equal and Shared Parenting legislation, and Fatherhood Initiatives at the state and federal level.
This policy advocacy work positions Mark not merely as a courtroom advocate for individual fathers but as a systemic reformer working to change the laws and funding structures that shape how the American family court system treats fathers and children. The NCESP's legislative education efforts directly influence the policy environment in which California family courts operate — making Mark's dual role as practicing attorney and nonprofit board president uniquely powerful for the fathers' rights movement as a whole.
LEGAL BACKGROUND, EDUCATION & NATIONAL VOICE
Mark earned his Juris Doctorate from Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2017, including a Certificate in Labor and Employment Law. His multidisciplinary academic path also includes an M.S. in Sports Administration from Valparaiso University (2014), a B.S. in Sports Marketing and Management from Indiana University (2013), and an A.S. in Business Administration from Ancilla College (2011). Before law, he worked as a sports scout, agent, and event promoter — a high-pressure background that shapes the competitive, results-oriented way he approaches family court litigation.
Mark is the author of the bestselling book "The Fathers' Rights Playbook" and hosts the podcast of the same name, which has attracted tens of thousands of listeners. He has amassed over 200,000 social media followers at @THEFATHERSRIGHTSATTORNEY — one of the largest audiences of any family law attorney in the country — where he educates men and fathers daily on their rights in California family court. He appears regularly as a guest on podcasts across the country and is a sought-after speaker at equal and shared parenting events nationwide, bringing the NCESP's legislative advocacy mission to audiences ranging from policy conferences to community forums — building a national platform that directly benefits every father who walks through the doors of Reel Fathers Rights.
