Mark Allen Smith

Mark A. Smith’s path to Virginia law began far from Hampton Roads. He was born in Pensacola, Florida, in 1969, and as the child of a U.S. Navy officer, he grew up traveling widely—throughout the United States and even to Japan. Mark started high school at Bruton High School in Williamsburg, Virginia, but later moved to California and graduated from Mira Mesa High School in San Diego in 1987. He completed his undergraduate studies at Christopher Newport University in 1993 before earning his law degree, with honors, from Mississippi College School of Law in 1996. After law school, Mark returned to Virginia and has remained a Hampton Roads resident ever since, now living in Yorktown with his wife and son. He began practicing law in Hampton, Virginia, where he spent nine years building experience and representing clients. In 2004, Mark helped establish Reichle & Smith, P.C. in Yorktown. In 2009, the firm’s name changed to Mark A. Smith, P.C., continuing in the same location and serving clients throughout Newport News, Hampton, Yorktown, Williamsburg, James City County, and Gloucester.
