Biography

Mark Somers has over twenty three years of experience in Workers’ Compensation.  He has handled thousands of workers’ compensation cases, including claims requiring testimony from injured workers, witnesses, private investigators and medical doctors on both sides.  Mark’s extensive experience has earned him the respect of his legal colleagues, his clients, and the Workers’ Compensation Law Judges.  He uses his experience to obtain excellent results for his clients every day.  Mark has been a frequent presenter at numerous legal seminars and Continuing Legal Education programs.  As a presenter, he has taught other attorneys about important legal issues in the Workers’ Compensation Law, including the 2007 Amendments, the Medical Treatment Guidelines, and the 2013 Permanency Guidelines.     Mark’s goal is to help his clients through a system that is often made more complicated than it needs to be.  He knows that living through an injury is difficult for both the injured worker and the worker’s family.  To make the legal process as easy as possible, he explains the law in simple terms and provides practical and experienced advice to guide his clients.
