Mark Edward Ringer

Background and Education

Mark grew up on an island in Western Washington and has lived in Colorado since his teens. He was inspired to practice law when a professor showed how adjusting a small nuance of fact could completely change the outcome of a legal case. Between earning bachelor’s and law degrees at the University of Colorado, Mark journeyed to western Kansas to serve as a deputy sheriff and police officer. He maintains his ties to policing to this day, currently serving pro bono as the general counsel of a northern Colorado law enforcement agency.

Professional

Finding variety riveting, Mark has helped people and entities navigate contractual disputes, construction defects, business issues, divorce, child care and custody, criminal charges, administrative and licensing matters, and other tumultuous situations. Many of these cases Mark has taken to trial before courts and juries, and he has negotiated favorable settlements in many more. Mark has represented clients in the federal district court and court of appeals, state district and county courts, and municipal courts throughout Colorado. Mark especially enjoys unraveling complicated legal issues, where he can put his investigative skills to use and find the nuances of fact and law that most effectively tell his clients’ stories.

Personal

Mark likes to stay busy, and when he’s not working he can be found exploring Colorado and beyond with his wife and three children, serving as the commander of a Civil Air Patrol squadron, and pursuing a rotating docket of other hobbies.
